I installed a Content Server 6.40 (newest patch) on SuSE SLES 11 SP1 with a MaxDB 7.8 (64 Bit, newest build) and apache 2.2.24. Apache server seems to work fine but a http-request (serverinfo) within the browser returns:

I have installed SAP Netweaver developer Studio 6.40 which installed MAXDB database also. Due to some reason I had to unistall the trial version of Developer studio, in this process developer studio got unistalled but not MAXDB.

I use Add/Remove programs and uninstall MaxDB. I get the messages like this.....

Start uninstallation now (y/n) : Y (resoponse)

then message displays

found instance of J2E, cannot remove package..first remove all instances...

I have stopped all the services, even then Iam getting such error message. How do I uninstall?

Hi gurues, I'm facing this issue with an IDES on MaxDB with Windows.

System was up and running until someone tries to make an upgrade of the kernel. Since then we can not start our system. we tried to rollback kernel release to the previous one but it didn't work.

When we start our system from MMC console we can see all process in green but work processes are in RUN state and after a few minutes they goes down with the following error

After migrating a sapdb instance (7.3 system) to maxdb 7.6 I have problems with the superdba and the control user.s The password that I think they should be the right do not work.

Now I'm looking for the possibility to reset the password of superdba and/or control user.

Please do not send me the notes

25591 - Changing the DBM, SYSDBA and DBA user passwords

and

39439 - XUSER entries for SAP DB and MaxDB

as done in many other SDN threads. This doesn't work for me because you can change the password only if you know the actual password (standarlogins superdba/admin and control/control do not work btw).

Does anyone know how to reset those passwords?

Hi , I encounter an error when I tried connect to a remote MAXDB database from my own computer:

Hello,

Since two weeks I'm not able to start a NW7.3 System. After several checks I figured out that the database (MaxDB 7.8 on Windows) does not start. There were no changes in Hardware or OS, Kernel was not updated/upgraded. The System was running since installation in May 2012.

dbmcli db_enum does work:

But my problem is, that when I run dbmcli -u superdba,***** -d NWD db_online, there is no further reaction. Unfortunatelly the MaxDB logfiles (knlmessage etc.) were not updated, so I have no hint what I should check as nect.

We have a strange problem:

We successfully installed the EHP4 upgrade for ERP 6.0 with the EHPinstaller on our central instance. We set up an distributed system, the database is on Linux with MaxDB.

After that I tried to logon with the SAPGUI on the SAP server, but I receive directly the message "SAP System Message: a table is unknown or does not exist." So a logon on the system IS NOT possible.

In the MMC Syslogs I see that there are 2 errors with starting the SAP server:

- SAP Basis System: Run-time error "DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN                (ERROR)

- Database: Table D010ENH    does not exist in the database with ID R/3             (WARNING)             

These two errors are occuring several times in the syslogs. The server nodes in die SAPMMC are running all on green.

What can I do there? Any ideas? Haven't found any notes on this problem.

I am unable to connect through MaxDB Database Manager GUI tool to the MaxDB Instance. The MaxDB instance is up and running.

When I to into click Add Servers Database Instances and -> type the Database server name and click Add, I am getting error as "-4 could not connect to socket [ 10060]

Question 1: How can I resolve the error?

I installed a Content Server 6.40 (newest patch) on SuSE SLES 11 SP1 with a MaxDB 7.8 (64 Bit, newest build) and apache 2.2.24. Apache server seems to work fine but a http-request (serverinfo) within the browser returns:

The modules on apache side is loaded: LoadModule sapcs_module  modules/mod_sapcs22.so

Also soft links with libsqlod.so to the libraries didn't help.

I am out of ideas now.

Hi Gurus,

One of our development systems was recently upgraded to EHP5. We had also completed the upgrade using one sandbox system which is a copy of DEV system.

After the systems were upgraded to EHP5, we are finding that the Program RFCEXEC vanishing from EXE directory. And Because of this, XI connectivity fails. Is this due to the EHP5 upgrade? Please help me in this.

I've completed the installation of a Content Server in version 6.40 with MaxDB on 2003 Server x64, once the installation I checked the server performance compobar Content Server and after that his state was in "running" I installed a database manager to connect to the DB of MaxDB that in the plant ... the problem stemmed from trying to connect to the instance and I do not validate the user or superdba or control (both created in the installation)

Both users in installation and on which I tested on both occasions the password. As I have found in the SDN in versions of MaxDB 7.7 limits the password to 8 characters and although I has the version 7.6.03.09 I have not worked, if something gives my password is 11 characters.

I tried also with default users (MaxDB) without any result

Hi all, I am trying for to perform a SAP DB upgrade from 7.3.0.28 to version 7.5.0.21. My problem is that when I execute command SDBUPD the following messages appear on screen almost immediately and the update is terminated:

beginning to check sap db instances

start new instance update

cannot establish database instance session

I followed the instructions in the upgrade guide and notes mentioned but this issue is nowhere mentioned. I am not a database specialist so any help and/or suggestions are more then welcome.

Hello Experts!

I've successfully installed NetWeaver 7.3.0. For Webshop purposes, I'm trying now to deploy wec-komponenten because my target application is WCEM3.0. At the the step "checks" I face following issue:

An error has occurred during the execution of the Check DB free space step.

Could not complete DMT process. Check the DMT.LOG log file. Could not execute DMT command runhandler. See previous messages. The dbmcli process could not be executed. Could not run OS process dbmcli for action CHECK_NEEDED. Could not start process dbmcli. Error while executing process dbmcli. java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified.

I'm logged on as NetWeaver User. In the commando of the DB, I can run the dbmcli code to find information about the DB

The file CHECK-DB-FREE-SPACE_02.LOG gives me almost the same message

Can somebody tell me what is wrong with my system?

Hi,

I have installed SAP Netweaver developer Studio 6.40 which installed MAXDB database also. Due to some reason I had to unistall the trial version of Developer studio, in this process developer studio got unistalled but not MAXDB.

I use Add/Remove programs and uninstall MaxDB. I get the messages like this.....

Start uninstallation now (y/n) : Y (resoponse)

then message displays

found instance of J2E, cannot remove package..first remove all instances...

I have stopped all the services, even then Iam getting such error message. How do I uninstall?

Help needed.

I dont have any other database installed on my system .
