Hello,

i'm pretty new to SAP and MaxDB. Unfortunalty we had a server crash and i had to reinstall SAP ECC 6.0 along with MaxDB 7.6 as it was delivered in these versions and installed on the crashed mashine.

The new mashine also has a new name. This seems to be the problem while trying to recover the database.

MaxDB Studio gives me the following error trying to recover first the volume, then the logs:

How can I tell The MaxDB Studio to recover anyways or how can i change the hostname inside the backup?

Hello,

Since two weeks I'm not able to start a NW7.3 System. After several checks I figured out that the database (MaxDB 7.8 on Windows) does not start. There were no changes in Hardware or OS, Kernel was not updated/upgraded. The System was running since installation in May 2012.

dbmcli db_enum does work:

But my problem is, that when I run dbmcli -u superdba,***** -d NWD db_online, there is no further reaction. Unfortunatelly the MaxDB logfiles (knlmessage etc.) were not updated, so I have no hint what I should check as nect.

So my question would be: is there any other MaxDB tool or log file, which can help me to solve this issue - or get at least a hint on the reason why the database can't start any more? Or maybe is an update to 7.9 a possible solution?

after Installing the MaxDB Database Studio 7.9 for Windows x64 on my Win 7 Client I get the folling error when starting:

My C:\sapdb\clients\DatabaseStudiodbstudio.ini looks as follows (already added the last both lines manually):

on MAXDB 7.6 on Win 2008

I backupe a MAXDB database by following command line :

dbmcli -d !DB_NAME! -u !DB_USER!,!DB_PWD! -uUTL -c backup_start !MEDIUM_NAME! > "!LOG_file!"

But I receive the follwing eerors :

ERR

-24961,ERR_STATE: The operational state of the database instance could not be determined

-24994,ERR_RTE: Runtime environment error

16006,OpenReadOnly file mapping object for Global\ADABAS-KSS-SSM failed, rc: 5

I would like to ask about MaxDB ext. but the first question is if i am right here or i have to ask in php forums?

We are Using MaxDB with php 5.2x.

This php version is getting too old and we are trying to configure php with MaxDb ext from http://pecl.php.net/package/maxdb

but this ext is not working (not able to be configured) with the new php version.

Is there other MaxDb ext. for php?

i have some trouble with the MAXDB php extension installation on opensuse 10.1.

The maxdb run well but i cant install the php extension.

when i started the installation with:

./buildconf --force

./configure --with-maxdb=/opt/sdb/programs

i got this error:

I converted our SAP Development System from a physical machine to a virtual machine. Hostname, DB SID, SAP SID are not changed.

Now I want to run the new system out of our domain and without network connection as a local system, but the SAP System can not connect to database. All the services (MaxDB and SAP) are running with the local system account.

Here you can see the syslog from SAP Management Console.

Database: SQL error -1070 occurred (possible network problems?). Work process is stopped

I've successfully installed NetWeaver 7.3.0. For Webshop purposes, I'm trying now to deploy wec-komponenten because my target application is WCEM3.0. At the the step "checks" I face following issue:

An error has occurred during the execution of the Check DB free space step.

Could not complete DMT process. Check the DMT.LOG log file. Could not execute DMT command runhandler. See previous messages. The dbmcli process could not be executed. Could not run OS process dbmcli for action CHECK_NEEDED. Could not start process dbmcli. Error while executing process dbmcli. java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified.

I'm logged on as NetWeaver User. In the commando of the DB, I can run the dbmcli code to find information about the DB

The file CHECK-DB-FREE-SPACE_02.LOG gives me almost the same message

Can somebody tell me what is wrong with my system?

We have brand new machines and trying to have last version of sqldbc sources for compiling under php 5.4.7, for using MaxDB 7.8.02.28 x86_64 bits version for Linux.

The last source package i found is maxdb-7.6.00.37 from 2007-04-21 !!! just a i bit old ! found on http://pecl.php.net/package/maxdb

I have not found any information on sap web site ? maybe someone could tell me where i shoud download what i need !

I am trying to install SAP  trial version . While installation of MAXDB serve , I am getting an error " Some database application might still be running"

I dont have any other database installed on my system .

Kindly reply what can be the possible reason for this .

I want Full backup on daily basis along with logs.

I installed a Content Server 6.40 (newest patch) on SuSE SLES 11 SP1 with a MaxDB 7.8 (64 Bit, newest build) and apache 2.2.24. Apache server seems to work fine but a http-request (serverinfo) within the browser returns:

I have installed SAP Netweaver developer Studio 6.40 which installed MAXDB database also. Due to some reason I had to unistall the trial version of Developer studio, in this process developer studio got unistalled but not MAXDB.

I use Add/Remove programs and uninstall MaxDB. I get the messages like this.....

Start uninstallation now (y/n) : Y (resoponse)

then message displays

found instance of J2E, cannot remove package..first remove all instances...

I have stopped all the services, even then Iam getting such error message. How do I uninstall?

Help needed.
