How to run native SQL in SAP system based on MaxDB?

In ST04->Tools->Database Manager(CLI), I always get some error to run very simple SQL: e.g.

I am trying to reset SAP* password in my MAXDB DB 7.6.  I know that is a very simple operation and I did it many times in other DBs , but here I  have stuck  during whole day .

I have connected to SQL Studio as SUPERDBA .

My SAP Schema  is "SAPIDS" .

To access usr02 table I run the following SQL :

select MANDT, BNAME, UFLAG from SAPIDS.USR02 where MANDT='000' and BNAME='SAP*'

, but I got the error thet the table does not exist .

I also tried:

select MANDT, BNAME, UFLAG from "SAPIDS"."USR02" where MANDT='000' and BNAME='SAP* ,

select * from SAPIDS.USR02 ; select * from "SAPIDS"."USR02" ;

I switch to Oracle mode also , but Nothing is working !

Also important to say that sql :

select * from tables where owner='SAPIDS'and tablename='USR02'

shows the USR02 table as well .

Any ideas ?

While the installation seems to finish successfully, I'm running into errors after starting (as administrator). First error is

'Loading preference values failed; default values will be used

Reason:

Missing object type: :Loader'

then

'Could not read preferences

Reason:

Missing object type: :SQLSTUDIO'

The Event log viewer shows warnings about the utilities path not specified and again Errors about 'Missing object type:: preferences'

While Eclipse then starts up, it is not possible to work with the locally installed DB (which seems to be detectect, however). Again there are errors about

'Missing object type::preferences' as well as

'Could not load mounted Local Folders'

'Can not get registration preferences'

'Get login attributes failed'

'User management exception: Missing object tye::UM_CONNECTION_KEY_REPLACE_WITH_DATABASE_NAME'

Searching the web using these errors does result in too much help, , unfortunately, for UM_CONNECTION_KEY_REPLACE_WITH_DATABASE_NAME I do net get a single hit with google.

First I thought my Java SDK 1.7, is too recent, so I uninstalled DB studio and Java and tried again with Oracle jdk-6u37-windows-x64, but I'm getting the same errors. Autolog activation on Maxdb database

Hello,

I am backing up a SAP MAXDB instance with 3rd party system (Symantec NetBackup). Version is 7.8.02 on Win 2008 R2. I was backing up logs with archive_stage [keep] command successfully for months.To reduce amount of logs, I ran archive_stage [remove] once. Since then, my log backup is empty regardless of keep/remove use.

autolog_show reports that AUTOSAVE IS ON.

I guess that conditions for autolog backup did not probably occur since the change, thus archive_stage command backs up nothing. Is it possible to launch AUTOSAVE manually? I ran through MAXDB docs but no usable info in it.

The maxDB database is not starting,

When I type

dbmcli -n mgiusdgrc1 -d CME -u superdba,<passwd> db_online, I get the following error.

-24832, ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE: Shared memory not available.

Opening shared memory file E:\sapdb\data\wrk\CME.dbm.shi failed, rc = 5.

I tried to rename the file CME.dbm.shi, but it did not work.

Currently we have 8 GB of physical memory RAM allocated on Wndows 2008 Server and paging size specified is 16 GB.

1- Can anyone help in resolving the above shared memory error?

2- Are there any logfiles and specific error messages that I need to check, to resolve the MaxDB startup issue error.

I have installed SAP Netweaver developer Studio 6.40 which installed MAXDB database also. Due to some reason I had to unistall the trial version of Developer studio, in this process developer studio got unistalled but not MAXDB.

then message displays

found instance of J2E, cannot remove package..first remove all instances...

I have stopped all the services, even then Iam getting such error message. How do I uninstall?

always in for something new, today I experienced two crashes in a row in our MaxDB installation. Looking at our application log files, this seemed to happen following a certain SQL DELETE statement (always the same, with the same parameters):

SAP AG][LIBSQLOD SO][MaxDB] General error;800 Implicit SERVERDB restart (connection aborted) [S1000]

After that, the database instance needs to be restarted. It reproducibly happens whenever I try to execute this particular query. I do not really have an idea how to track this down. MaxDB is 7.8.02.28 on a Linux x86_64 system. Any comments on that issue greatly appreciated.

Good day;

We are trying implementing the latest SAP LiveCache release.

Unfortunately, we canu2019t do this since the password of users control, superdba, and other maxdb database default users are not known. This is becoming a real problem by time since no one can login to this database using the database manager application, hence, no one can administer this database properly.

The LCA, LDA, LEA connection between SAP SCM instance DSC and liveCache instance DSL, however, are already set up correctly and connection is healthy between DSC and DSL but the password used for this connections is unknown.

Is there any way SAP could help us on recovering the lost passwords of the users control and superdba without the need to trash the liveCach database and recreate it again as this is not acceptable by the

business users.

I have standalone MAXDB 7.7 database on Linux. I want to connect it to Solman7.1 for monitoring. I have pushed the data of server to SLD after installing diagnostic agent and hostcontrol agent . XUSER entry is also mentained on server.  But SLD is only able identify host detail and not the maxdb database present on th servers.

On server, i could see log in file /usr/sap/hostctrl/work/XCMDOUT.LOG as:
