Error in SCLA_LCK_SYNCHOWNERS and starting LiveCache through LC10
When starting the livecache LCA through LC10 it immediately short dumps below:
DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR
CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR
The error "-28534" occurring in the current database connection "LEA".
Database error text........: "POS(1) Package must be
recreated:LCK_LIST_OWNERS,"
Database error code........: "-28534"
Triggering SQL statement...: "EXECUTE PROCEDURE LCK_LIST_OWNERS"
Internal call code.........: "[DBDS/NEW DSQL]"
I can provide more detail if needed. Any ideas?

How to set Automatic Schedule backup in MaxDB?
HI All
I need to set automatic backup in MaxDB, i have seen automatic option for logs but not for Full database, Can anyone explain how we can do this.
I want Full backup on daily basis along with logs.

500 (Internal Server Error) CreateTab ContentStorage, connect error SQLConn

When i try to connect to the content server i get the following error.[Maxdb is on windows 2003 server.]
Error:

Uninstalling MaxDB
Hi,
I have installed SAP Netweaver developer Studio 6.40 which installed MAXDB database also. Due to some reason I had to unistall the trial version of Developer studio, in this process developer studio got unistalled but not MAXDB.

I use Add/Remove programs and uninstall MaxDB. I get the messages like this.....
Start uninstallation now (y/n) : Y (resoponse)
then message displays
found instance of J2E, cannot remove package..first remove all instances...
*----
I have stopped all the services, even then Iam getting such error message. How do I uninstall?
Help needed.

MAXDB Installation error - Some Database application might still be running
Hi All ,
I am trying to install SAP trial version . While installation of MAXDB serve , I am getting an error " Some database application might still be running"
I dont have any other database installed on my system .
Kindly reply what can be the possible reason for this .

MaxDB Upgrade, unable to establish DB instance session
Hi all, I am trying for to perform a SAP DB upgrade from 7.3.0.28 to version 7.5.0.21. My problem is that when I execute command SDBUPD the following messages appear on screen almost immediately and the update is terminated:
beginning to check sap db instances
start new instance update
cannot establish database instance session
I followed the instructions in the upgrade guide and notes mentioned but this issue is nowhere mentioned. I am not a database specialist so any help and/or suggestions are more then welcome.

SAP Content Server HA and load balancing
Good morning experts.
I am a Basis Architect and working towards setting up our SAP environment to support near Zero downtime. I have successfully setup our SQL Server databases, NW Instances and even TREX to support that model.
I am looking for some suggestions on how to setup HA on the SAP content server. Currently we are moving our SAP content (attachments to PO/Invoices, Marketing attachments etc. from our ECC and CRM systems to SAP content Server. Also archiving stuff is moved to the content Server. This makes the Content Server critical for business. Therefore any downtime is an outage for business.
SAP does not have a HA model for SAP content server(at least I could not find any information). the maxDB part does support failover clustering but for the Content server IIS services, I could not find any information. I am looking for a multi node HA model where I can achieve High Availability for incidents, like if the server crashes, there is another instance it can automatically failover to. Also during any maintenance I can work node by node without causing any outage.
we have a VMware virtual environment on windows. I am open to suggestions using the technologies provided by VMware and supported by SAP.
I know I can start using a non SAP utility to manage content like Opentext, IBM Content management, but these solutions are like a blackhole. Once you get into them, there is no way out unless you are willing to spend millions. Also of-course SAP Content Server is free and we have a single point of support.

MaxDB 7.9 error when importing data from MaxDB 7.6
Hello,
I got an strange error while importing data in MaxDB version 7.9 from an MaxDB version 7.6.
The error is caused by a column with a date format.
The message in detail is:
// E-25392: '[SAP AG][LIBSDBOD SO][SAP MaxDB] Datetime fieldoverflow;-3048 POS(309) Invalid date format:ISO'
Can anyone help to solve this issue ?

Managing Data Volumes in MaxDB
Hello,
Due to an upgrade from ERP 6.0 to ERP 6.0 EHP5, I had to add new data volumes to my MAXDB database.
I created 6 data volumes of 9.5GB and 2 data volumes of 38GB.
i am not too worried about the 9.5 GB data volumes since they are close to 50% free.
However the 38GB data volumes are filled to only around 13%. This consumes a lot a space on my server.
Is there anyway to reorganize the database? I need to free-up some space on the server.
I am new to MaxDB.

MAXDB 7.9 Windows 64 bit community version installation issues
Hello,
while trying to install MAXDB 7.9_08_23 Windows 64 bit community version the following problems arised:
* When MAXDB 7.6 is still installed, the installer detects an installed sap version and will not proceed.
* windows\syswow64\drivers\etc\services has to be created or the installation will fail.
* there is apparently no 32bit odbc driver included.
* trying to use the 32bit installer (just for odbc) fails.
The first two problems can of course be easily circumvented (uninstall 7.6, create dummy services file).
Of course I would appreciate when the 32bit odbc driver would find it's way into the 64bit installation.

Autolog not backing up log file after specified intervals
hi Experts,
We are running our content server & live cache system on maxdb 7.6.06.20 on aix 6.1. We have enabled autolog on one of the test systems as we want to enable it whole landscape.
While enabling the autolog i used interval as 1 hour for backing up the log.
The issue is it is not saving any log file after specified interval.
One thing to mention is that this system is test hence no activity is happening on system thus log area is 0% used. The other thing is when we run the db backup it immediately creates a log file following the backup.
Can you please help.

How can I get the status of the log overwrite mode?
I'm able to set it via
db_execute SET LOG WRITER OFF/ ON

We are running SCM 5.0 on Wintel, livecache version is 7.6 (KERNEL 7.6.02 BUILD 014-123-152-175).
The following short dumps are logged on the test instance. Consistancy checks of livecache have been successful.

MAXDB 7.9 ODBC SQLPrepare issue
Hello,
with MAXDB 7.6 I could use the following command sequences with ODBC
SQLPrepare(SELECT ...)
SQLBindParameter()
SQLExecute()
SQLFetch()
SQLCloseCursor()
and then again
SQLExecute()
SQLFetch()
SQLCloseCursor()
as often as I wanted.
With MAXDB 7.9 (64-bit, Windows) the statement apparently has to be re-initialized completely after SQLCloseCursor().
Am I correct in attributing this behaviour to MAXDB?
Is there a chance that this will change again?

Need MAXDB port, dafault database username and password to connect
Hi,
I am new to MAXDB and installed SAP system on Windows XP on local machine.
I have installed SAP Netweaver and while connecting to MAXDB via MAXDB Database Manager facing issue.
I am getting error as -2 ERR_USRFAIL:User authorization failed. Please check attached screenshot for more details.
I tried to connect via credentials provided in this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/95219 but failed to do so.
I used following ports for connection:
7200
7210
7269
7270
7575
Can anyone provide port, default username and password.?
