This dump occurs in procedure "/SAPAPO/OM_SIMSESSION_GET_ALL".

If I look at the logs in LC10, it says:

We recently completed (or thought we did - seems like we missed a step) a refresh of our sandbox SCM and livecache systems from production.

SCX is the sandbox system and SCP is the production system.  This message makes me think that the new sandbox livecache copy is still trying to point to the production SCM system.  Has anyone seen this before?  Is there something I need to change within the livecache database? 

I found a note (877203) that mentions changing the logical system name in /SAPAPO/PRDMAP to the target system, but when I run through the steps to do that, the command: select LOGSYS, count(*) from "SAPR3"."/SAPAPO/PRDMAP" group by logsys returns zero results - thus I didn't think I had to change anything.

I have Maxdb 7.6.03.10 installed on my system.I have upgraded it to 7.6.06.10 by applying a patch.

When i ran the Restore via Wizard ,it gave me a error saying

-24988 SQL error [info STATE -d]; -4004,Unknown table name :INFO_STATE

I took the Backup via Wizard , which was successfull.The Backup was taken of Content Server which was installed on Windows 2003 and m restoring it on Windows 2008 server.

Both the OS where MAX DB is installed have same Version of Patch and DBMGUI kernel build.

Can you please give me the reason for the error and possible solutions.

I have created the MaxDB standby instance on other server and copied all the logs from Production instance to Standby instance. I tried applying logs from DBMCLI as below,

recover_start Log LOG 020

But getting error as below in dbm.prt

And also can I do the switchover like oracle dataguard in MaxDB standby database. Before bringing the MaxDB standby as production instance I will do the log switch on production MaxDB database and apply that last log to standby MaxDB and then put the Production MaxDB database into Admin mode and then I will bring the MaxDB standby as production instance and shipped the log from standby to production and apply the logs as production is now standby is it possible to apply logs on production standby?

im newbie to maxdb things. I´ve done the parameter check and i´ve got this sap recommendation:

*W1 Recommended value for data cache is at least 2997.77 MB, current value is 2897.29MB.

can you tell me where i can increase the data cache? I´ve looked for it in the Database Studio and i only found the parameter CacheMemorySize.

We have installed SAP SCM IDES 7.0 on Windows 2008 R2 Server, We have integrated the LIVE CACHE from LC10 initially it was working fine. Due to updates in OS patches the system got restarted while the application was running. After this we are unnable to connect to LIVE CACHE from LC10. DBM_CONNECT failed with return code 11.

We have checked in the log files E:\sapdb\data\wrk\.M770423\dbm.prt file.

so i am diverting my questions here in this forum

basically the APO and R/3 system are running smoothly with no problem in CIF

but accidently we done the below steps

Entered into transaction LC-10

Click Live cache Monitoring

click the folder - Administration

click Operating under - configuration

There are two Icon bar - start LiveCache and stop LiveCache

First i clicked stop and then after few minutes i click start

After some time i try to open the Product view in APO, the system says Live cache not available

can some one help me in this regard

We are doing our SCM upgrade from 4.1 to 7.0 with migration. We have completed with the upgrade but before doing the LC upgrade we need to upload the data to the LC using the  /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70, while doing this it gives an error for connectivity to the LC. From DB59, i checked the connection test fails for "Native SQL" (LCA) step.

We have a strange problem:

We successfully installed the EHP4 upgrade for ERP 6.0 with the EHPinstaller on our central instance. We set up an distributed system, the database is on Linux with MaxDB.

After that I tried to logon with the SAPGUI on the SAP server, but I receive directly the message "SAP System Message: a table is unknown or does not exist." So a logon on the system IS NOT possible.

In the MMC Syslogs I see that there are 2 errors with starting the SAP server:

- SAP Basis System: Run-time error "DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN                (ERROR)

- Database: Table D010ENH    does not exist in the database with ID R/3             (WARNING)             

These two errors are occuring several times in the syslogs. The server nodes in die SAPMMC are running all on green.

What can I do there? Any ideas? Haven't found any notes on this problem.

I got a new powerfull "client" machine installed with Windows 7 64 Bits. Also i installed the MaxDB tools in 64 bits version.

Naturally the machine where the database is is Linux MaxDb 64 Bits (version 7.6.06.10).

I do use a lot MS Access 2010 since months, on the previous machine that was Windows XP, il was Office 2010 32 bits. Here naturally, i have Office 2010 64 bits. I'm searching for the ODBC drivers in 64 bits version, but always see the 32 bits version, does the ODBC 64 bits drivers exists ?

on a freshly installed WinXP-SP3 maschine I installed

- (1) "SAP MaxDB 7.6 for Windows (x86, 32 bit)" (7.6.03.15) (maxdb-all-win-32bit.exe)

- (2) "SAP MaxDB Database Studio (for Windows)" (7.7.03.23) (maxdb-studio-win-32bit.exe)

As for installation (1): I chose the "component group" "client + server" and then the option without creation of a db instance.

As for installation (2): I chose "component group" "client". I had the following challenge: During the installation the error message

»destination directory "C:ProgrammesdbprogramsDatabaseStudioutilities" not found«

occurred. I tried "retry" twice which caused the same error message again and finally the installation window disappeared. Then I added the missing directories "C:ProgrammesdbprogramsDatabaseStudio" and "C:ProgrammesdbprogramsDatabaseStudioutilities" by hand and started the installation again. The installation mentioned, that only "Database Studio" and "Database Studio Utilities" are missing (and that the other 2 components are already available), and it installed these two components successfully. The final message was »Your MaxDB installation was finished successfully«.

I rebooted the whole computer and started the "database studio". I got the error message

»A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK)

must be available in order to run Dbstudio. No Java virtual machine

was found after searching the following locations:

How can I install "SAP MaxDB Database Studio (for Windows)" (7.7.03.23) without the mentioned difficulties?

What do I have to do to start the Database Studio correctly?

Or, is it simply that I cannot use "SAP MaxDB Database Studio (for Windows)" (7.7.03.23) together with "SAP MaxDB 7.6 for Windows (x86, 32 bit)" (7.6.03.15)? I thought that it is possible or even intended because they are all offered on the download page "[SAP MaxDB Downloads - Community Editions|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/maxdb-downloads]" next to all the 7.6 products.

Hi,

I am new to MAXDB and installed SAP system on Windows XP on local machine.

I have installed SAP Netweaver and while connecting to MAXDB via MAXDB Database Manager facing issue.

I am getting error as -2 ERR_USRFAIL:User authorization failed. Please check attached screenshot for more details.

I tried to connect via credentials provided in this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/95219  but failed to do so.

I used following ports for connection:

           7200

           7210

           7269

           7270

           7575

Can anyone provide port, default username and password.?

After migrating a sapdb instance (7.3 system) to maxdb 7.6 I have problems with the superdba and the control user.s The password that I think they should be the right do not work.

Now I'm looking for the possibility to reset the password of superdba and/or control user.

Please do not send me the notes

25591 - Changing the DBM, SYSDBA and DBA user passwords

and

39439 - XUSER entries for SAP DB and MaxDB

as done in many other SDN threads. This doesn't work for me because you can change the password only if you know the actual password (standarlogins superdba/admin and control/control do not work btw).

Does anyone know how to reset those passwords?

Hi gurues, I'm facing this issue with an IDES on MaxDB with Windows.

System was up and running until someone tries to make an upgrade of the kernel. Since then we can not start our system. we tried to rollback kernel release to the previous one but it didn't work.

When we start our system from MMC console we can see all process in green but work processes are in RUN state and after a few minutes they goes down with the following error

I need to set automatic backup in MaxDB, i have seen automatic option for logs but not for Full database, Can anyone explain how we can do this.

I want Full backup on daily basis along with logs.
