Hi,

I have installed SAP Netweaver developer Studio 6.40 which installed MAXDB database also. Due to some reason I had to unistall the trial version of Developer studio, in this process developer studio got unistalled but not MAXDB.

I use Add/Remove programs and uninstall MaxDB. I get the messages like this.....

Start uninstallation now (y/n) : Y (resoponse)

then message displays

found instance of J2E, cannot remove package..first remove all instances...

*----

I have stopped all the services, even then Iam getting such error message. How do I uninstall?

Help needed.

How I can solve these collision rates, there is a way to check what data, table or row exists on these regions? Any better way to analyse this?

Hello,

I changed the hostname of our SAP System (not productiv). When I'm trying to start SAP the following message appears in the syslog:

SAP Basis System: Initialization DB-Connect Failed, Return Code 008192

The database is on the same host and running. Before I tried to start SAP I changed all the three profiles (start, default, etc.).

I "reregistered" the SAP Services and I also read SAPNote 8307.

Hi,

I am new to MAXDB and installed SAP system on Windows XP on local machine.

I have installed SAP Netweaver and while connecting to MAXDB via MAXDB Database Manager facing issue.

I am getting error as -2 ERR_USRFAIL:User authorization failed. Please check attached screenshot for more details.

I tried to connect via credentials provided in this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/95219 but failed to do so.

I used following ports for connection:

7210

7269

7270

7575

Can anyone provide port, default username and password.?

Hello,

Due to an upgrade from ERP 6.0 to ERP 6.0 EHP5, I had to add new data volumes to my MAXDB database.

I created 6 data volumes of 9.5GB and 2 data volumes of 38GB.

i am not too worried about the 9.5 GB data volumes since they are close to 50% free.

However the 38GB data volumes are filled to only around 13%. This consumes a lot a space on my server.

Is there anyway to reorganize the database? I need to free-up some space on the server.

I am new to MaxDB.

in our EWA Reports wefound the following error:

ERROR in EWA-Session:

Data from the knldiag.err file cannot be analyzed. An error occurred during the function call to SAPDB_DBM_GETF.

Please, check whether the file is readable with transaction DB50 (Problem Analysis->Messager->Core->Error).

When I tried transaction DB50 (Problem Analysis->Messager->Core->Error) I get the following error:

ERR_COMMAND_FAILED: Command 'file_getfirst' has ended and failed with return code -24964.

35584,/sapdb/programs/bin/protconv -p /sapdb/data/wrk/SID -f classic -t _KNLMSGARCHIVE -o /sapdb/data/wrk/SID/.KnlMsgArc.txt

It seem that the protcov-command is not valid (because the filename is KNLMSARC), he is readable, I also could open the file in the dbmgui.

MaxDB-Version: 7.7.07.32

OS: Redhat Linux 5.5

SAP ERP 6.0

I searched for the error but I didn't find any Solution.

Who knows s0mething about this problem?? Where could I change the command, so that the transaction DB50 takes the right one??

Hi all, I am trying for to perform a SAP DB upgrade from 7.3.0.28 to version 7.5.0.21. My problem is that when I execute command SDBUPD the following messages appear on screen almost immediately and the update is terminated:

beginning to check sap db instances

start new instance update

cannot establish database instance session

I followed the instructions in the upgrade guide and notes mentioned but this issue is nowhere mentioned. I am not a database specialist so any help and/or suggestions are more then welcome.

Hello,

I changed the hostname of our SAP System (not productiv). When I'm trying to start SAP the following message appears in the syslog:

SAP Basis System: Initialization DB-Connect Failed, Return Code 008192

The database is on the same host and running. Before I tried to start SAP I changed all the three profiles (start, default, etc.).

I "reregistered" the SAP Services and I also read SAPNote 8307.

Hi Gurus,

One of our development systems was recently upgraded to EHP5. We had also completed the upgrade using one sandbox system which is a copy of DEV system.

After the systems were upgraded to EHP5, we are finding that the Program RFCEXEC vanishing from EXE directory. And Because of this, XI connectivity fails. Is this due to the EHP5 upgrade? Please help me in this.

We are doing our SCM upgrade from 4.1 to 7.0 with migration. We have completed with the upgrade but before doing the LC upgrade we need to upload the data to the LC using the /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70, while doing this it gives an error for connectivity to the LC. From DB59, i checked the connection test fails for "Native SQL" (LCA) step.

Hello,

i am trying to install php-5.4.13 with MaxDB ext.

configuring with the Option: --with-maxdb=/opt/sdb/programs/

It can be configured but then i get a lot of Errors,

Hello guys,

First to mention my system:

OS: Windows 2003 server

DB: MaxDB 7_7_06_17

I have one problem to connect through Database Manager to one DB instance that just now I have installed.

What I want to do is to install one MDM server.

The bellow are the steps that were already performed:

-installed Java server with sapinst (this created its database ZJD)

-after this Java server was finished installed I started to create one DB MDM instance using SDBSETUP.exe

-I was able to create this MDM instance successful

And the problem is here: This MDM database instance that was created with defaults users DBA and DBM. When the creation of this MDM was finished I tried to connect with both Database Manager and DBMCLI to MDM instance using these users but I am not able to connect. I get the "-2 ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed" error. Can you tell me which is the reason?

I am sure that I typed the right user and password. I tried to uninstall all and installed again inclusive OS and the same error. I mention that to instance ZJD I am able to connect.

I tried with default users for Maxdb (DBA with pass: SECRET and DBA and DBM with pass: SECRET and DBM) but this doesn't work.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

I am struggling with the installation of NetWeaver 2004 on MaxDB on Linux.

When executing sapinst for the second time to install and create the DB, I am

Hi,

I am new to MAXDB and installed SAP system on Windows XP on local machine.

I have installed SAP Netweaver and while connecting to MAXDB via MAXDB Database Manager facing issue.

I am getting error as -2 ERR_USRFAIL:User authorization failed. Please check attached screenshot for more details.

I tried to connect via credentials provided in this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/95219 but failed to do so.

I used following ports for connection:

7200

7210

7269

7270

7575

Can anyone provide port, default username and password.?
